Books About Feelings for Preschoolers
As a family, we have been reading a lot of books about feelings with our preschoolers. Kids are very skilled at picking up on the things we teach them, and unfortunately, sometimes that works against us. I have found that in my short journey as a parent, it has become increasingly important for me to be aware of my own feelings so that I can help teach my kids to be aware of their own. If mommy yells every time she’s mad, my kids are going to as well. Awareness of and vocabulary around our feelings and emotions can help us in so many ways- from childhood to adulthood. I encourage you to discuss and discover what is “in your heart” through reading, discussion, and activities with your child.
This book list coordinates with a Letter H Preschool Activity Guide that I created. You can sign up to recieve it directly in your inbox by filling out the form below.
